Louisiana Homeowners Policy Assumption Information

SafePoint Insurance Company has entered into an agreement to assume policies from Access Home Insurance and State National Fire Insurance Co. effective December 1, 2021 and for Americas effective February 1, 2022. We are excited to have you as a customer and want to provide you with some information about the transition. We are committed to ensuring your transition to SafePoint is a smooth one. As an admitted insurance company in the State of Louisiana, SafePoint has the knowledge and expertise to provide you with the peace of mind you deserve.

Why is my policy moving to SafePoint?

SafePoint has entered into an agreement to assume policies from three insolvent carriers, Access Home Insurance, State National Fire and Americas. This agreement provides customers of those companies a new carrier and a guaranteed renewal of their policy.


What action do I need to take?

You do not need to take any action to facilitate moving your policy. You will receive a renewal from SafePoint 30 – 60 days in advance of your renewal date. Your renewal will include an invoice so if you pay the policy yourself, simply make the payment.


How can I make a payment on my Access Home or State National Policy?

Payments can be mailed directly to SafePoint, PO Box 290119, Tampa, FL 33687. To make payment via credit card or e-check please call us at 855-243-9740.


How can I make a payment on my Americas Policy?

Payments can be made by contacting 1-877-833-4163.


How can I make a change to my Americas policy?

You can contact 1-877-833-4163, option 5, for assistance with policy changes.


What if my mortgage company pays my policy?

A copy of your policy will be sent to the mortgage company


What should I do if I have a claim?

For Access Home and State National Fire, SafePoint is responsible for all claims occurring on or after December 1, 2021. As part of the agreement to assume the policies Americas policies, SafePoint is responsible for all claims occurring on or after February 1, 2022. If your claim occurred on or after December 1, 2021, or after February 1, 2022, respectively please contact SafePoint directly at 855-252-4615 (855-CLAIM15). If your claim occurred before December 1, 2021, or before February 1, 2022, please contact the Louisiana Insurance Guarantee Association at 1-225-277-7151.
